AB Banjo Paterson Cottage

Photo op

Now a fine dining restaurant, this is the house AB Paterson lived in with his grandmother whilst studying at Sydney Grammar.

The house is adjacent to Punt Road, which is part of the original Great North Road, built with convict labour that stretched to Wiseman's Ferry (60+km north) and beyond. In fact directly to the south at Abbotsford the road is called "Great North Road" and the punt provided the crossing. In fact the punt was the only way across the harbour for over 30 years from 1832!
